Fashion as Interior Design

I have seen the trend of using clothing as an Interior Design element in several apartmenttherapy.com blogs and I think this is a great way to display your individual style through decorating.
I used to do clothing displays for a non-profit thrift shop I helped manage in Logan, UT (Somebody's Attic--all proceeds go to preventing domestic abuse--a great find if you happen to be in northern Utah) and it is a really fun way to bring life to a room. There's something very intimate about clothing that instantly brings personality.
However, unfortunately, don't think that a pile of dirty clothes in the corner of your bedroom counts. Sorry folks.

i love the way they painted the wall that dark blueish greenish black and then have that bright yellow headboard against it- it really makes it "pop" as my Mom would say. Remember this when I hire you to design my apartment.... :)

"Popping" is such a buzz word in Interior Design. Jan has clearly been watching HGTV.
